Welcome to High Cotton Classic

The High Cotton Classic is an annual sporting clays event located in Chester, South Carolina. We aim to benefit local organizations, events and other educational charities in York, Chester and surrounding areas in South Carolina.

How to Participate

Tickets for this year's sporting clays course are limited and will sell out fast. If you can't join us on the course, we are offering other options and welcome everyone to join us on August 23, the day of the event, to play some of our yard games and for supper and auction fun.  Please check out our Event Information page for more information. 


Mark your calendars and join us throughout the summer as we prepare for the event. The Wednesday night Board meetings are open to all and a great opportunity to see how you may want to help volunteer, have a terrific meal and shoot a few clays.

10:45 AM - Yard Games Open for  Sporting Clays Course Participants ONLY

11:30 AM - Sporting Clays Course Shotgun Start

*Lunch for Sporting Clays Course Participants will be Served on the Course


12:00 PM - Check-in & Lunch Opens for Yard Games Ticket Participants 

1:00 PM - Safety Briefing for Yard Games Ticket Participants (MANDATORY) & Yard Games Area Opens

The Event

Since 1989 we have gathered on a beautiful farm in Chester County, South Carolina to have fun busting clay birds and raising money for worthy causes.  The one-day event is always the last Saturday before Labor Day weekend and includes sporting clays and other shotgun games, lunch and supper, and terrific prizes.

 The mission of High Cotton Classic is to encourage the development and spiritual growth of young men through their participation in the trapper training program which is a primary focus of our annual sporting clays event.  The focus of the trapper training program is to build these young men up as they seek to glorify God through faith, fellowship, and service in their participation in the annual fundraiser.
